What can I expect from the event?
Starry Nights are a great way to view Van Gogh's Flowers in the glow of evening with music and performers, and drinks and food available for purchase. Conditions permitting, the nighttime experience conclude with a celebration of the iconic Starry Night with a 10-minute illuminated drone show finale sparkling above.
Where is the experience located?
Starry Nights are located at the New York Botanical Garden, at 2900 Southern Blvd. in the Bronx. Whether you're hopping on the subway, taking a short trip via Metro-North to the Botanical Garden stop, or getting there by car, NYBG is easy to reach! Parking at NYBG is limited, so consider taking public transit or a car service to avoid parking delays. Events and activities are located in the Haupt Conservatory and its surroundings.
Can I attend Starry Nights if I have a daytime Van Gogh's Flowers ticket and remain at the Garden past 6 p.m.?
No, Starry Nights are a separate ticketed event. You must purchase a Starry Nights ticket in order to attend.
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
The Starry Nights experience at NYBG is rain or shine event with both indoor and outdoor components. There are various exhibition components and installations, entertainment, and dining locations. After dark, the illuminated drone finale is conditions permitting. Please plan your attire accordingly.
How long does the experience last?
It will take approximately 45 minutes to experience Van Gogh's Flowers in the Haupt Conservatory, on the Conservatory Lawn, and around the Visitor Center. Be sure to account for extra time to take in the music and performers, visit the bars and pop-ups, and enjoy the outdoors as the sun goes down. After dark, join us on the Mertz Building lawns for a 10-minute drone show finale (conditions permitting). The Garden closes at 10 p.m.
Where is the drone show happening?
The drone show takes place above the Mertz Building (conditions permitting).
Can I bring a blanket or chair to view the drone show?
Visitors are welcome to bring blankets to sit on while enjoying the drone show. Chairs are not permitted on the lawns. We thank you for doing your part to help protect our landscapes.
Can weather affect the drone show? What happens if the drone show is canceled?
Yes, wind and inclement weather, as well as other airspace concerns, can result in a cancellation of the drone show. Starry Nights feature a robust evening of floral and art displays, as well as music and performers, with a drone show as the finale (conditions permitting). Should the drone show be canceled, the rest of the evening's festivities will go on as scheduled, rain or shine.
Can drones harm wildlife?
We have designed our drone show with wildlife safety as a priority, consulting with ornithology experts from NYC Bird Alliance to set a new standard for wildlife-safe drone shows.
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?
Yes! Specialty themed snacks, handcrafted cocktails, sweet treats, and kid-friendly fare will be available from our eateries and pop-ups. No outside food or beverages are permitted.
Is there parking available?
Limited parking is available for $22 (Members pay half price) on a first-come, first-served basis at the Garden’s Main Entrance, 2900 Southern Blvd.
You may be directed to park at the NYBG Parking Garage at 401 Bedford Park Blvd. behind the Metro-North Station. Garage parking can be paid for and validated at the Visitor Center and Mosholu Entrance ticket windows when entering or exiting the Garden.
Please consider taking public transit or a car service to avoid parking delays.
ABOUT TICKETS
Can I purchase tickets at the door?
We will have a box office on site. However, tickets may be sold out by the time you arrive at the event, so we highly recommend you book your tickets in advance in order to guarantee your spot. You can purchase tickets in the Fever App or on the Fever website.
Can I transfer my tickets to another person?
Yes, you can transfer your tickets to anyone for free. It is as easy as clicking "Transfer Tickets" on your ticket in the Fever App. Please contact us if you need additional help. Make sure to include your ticket order number.
Do I need to print my ticket?
You can find your ticket in the "Tickets" section of the Fever app (you can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play). Please remember to log in with the same login method used to make the purchase.
You will also find your QR code in your purchase confirmation email.
I can't find my ticket. What should I do?
You can view your ticket in the Fever app, within the Tickets section. If you don't have the app installed, you can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play. Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets. If you still cannot find your ticket, please contact us.
Can I change the date of my ticket? Are refunds allowed?
This experience allows date changes up to 48 hours in advance. If you would like to make the change, please contact us and include the ticket ID associated with your purchase. One of our agents will respond to your request as soon as possible, informing you of the next steps to follow.

ABOUT ACCESS TO THE EVENT
When should I arrive at the Garden?
Visitors are welcome to enter the Garden beginning at 7 p.m., and enjoy the exhibition, music, and performers until the event ends at 10 p.m.
Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed?
Only service animals are allowed at the New York Botanical Garden; pets are not allowed on Garden grounds. Service animals are permitted in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Service animals are defined by the ADA as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person's disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
Are Starry Nights accessible?
All of the pathways during Starry Nights are accessible. Wheelchairs are available to borrow free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis at all Garden entry points. An ID must be left with Visitor Experience. Wheelchairs are not permitted on unpaved areas. During the drone show, wheelchair-accessible viewing areas will be available along with a limited amount of accessible seating. This multisensory aerial spectacle includes changes in light levels, bright colors, flashing lights, and music.
Can I bring a stroller to Starry Nights?
Strollers are encouraged in outdoor areas of the Garden but are not permitted in the Conservatory, on the Conservatory Lawn, or on the Mertz Building lawns. Stroller parking is available at these locations. Baby carriers are allowed for transporting little ones through the exhibition. Visitors using a stroller as an accessibility device are permitted to take the stroller in all wheelchair accessible areas in the Garden. If someone in your party uses a stroller as an accessibility device, please ask our staff for instructions upon your arrival.
What are the prohibited items at the experience?
Please do not bring outside food or beverage. Oversized bags are prohibited, and NYBG does not offer bag or coat-check facilities. NYBG Security Managers conduct intermittent bag checks at Garden entry points. Tripods, monopods, easels, and selfie sticks are not permitted in the Haupt Conservatory.
Do you offer carer tickets?
Guests requiring assistance throughout this experience are entitled to apply for one free pass for their personal assistant/support worker. Please contact us.
Once we receive this, we will provide you with a voucher that you can use to purchase your free carer ticket in the Fever app (based on availability).
Please keep in mind that you will have to show the regular ticket with this carer ticket when entering the venue.
Will restrooms be available on site?
Restrooms are available at all Garden entrances and inside the Haupt Conservatory. Staff are happy to show you the closest location.
Can I take photos or record the experience?
Feel free to take photos and videos and share them online! When taking photos, please make sure not to disturb other visitors, plants, or displays. Tripods, monopods, easels, and selfie sticks are not permitted in the Haupt Conservatory.
Is there a Lost & Found?
Please ask NYBG staff for assistance in locating any lost items. After the event, call 718.817.8700 if needed.
Is coat check available?
Unfortunately, there are no bag or coat-check facilities at NYBG.
Is there an age requirement?
Starry Nights are appropriate for all ages.
